Privacy Policy
This policy explains how BookingIQ handles information collected through our website, booking pages, widgets, owner dashboard, notifications, and related services.
AI and third-party processing: BookingIQ uses third-party services, including AI, hosting, database, email, SMS, and authentication providers. Information entered into the platform may be processed by those providers to operate the service.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect information that business owners, admins, and visitors provide, including names, email addresses, phone numbers, business names, service areas, appointment request details, chat messages, uploaded or linked business content, scheduling rules, and notification preferences.
We may also collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, timestamps, logs, error reports, and usage data.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide, operate, secure, monitor, and improve BookingIQ.
- To create and manage business accounts, owner dashboards, booking pages, and website widgets.
- To process chat messages, generate AI responses, summarize conversations, and collect appointment requests.
- To send notifications by email, SMS, or other channels.
- To prevent abuse, diagnose issues, enforce terms, and comply with legal obligations.
3. AI Processing and Accuracy
Chat messages, business knowledge, service descriptions, and appointment request details may be sent to AI model providers or other third-party APIs so the BookingIQ Agent can respond and summarize information. AI can make mistakes and may generate inaccurate or incomplete responses. Business owners are responsible for reviewing outputs and confirming appointments manually unless they have implemented a separate confirmed scheduling workflow.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We may share information with vendors that help us operate BookingIQ, such as cloud hosting, Supabase or database providers, OpenAI or other AI providers, email delivery providers, Twilio or SMS providers, analytics providers, and authentication providers. These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy practices.
5. Customer and Visitor Data
Businesses using BookingIQ are responsible for the information they collect from their customers and visitors. Businesses must provide appropriate notices, obtain required consents, respond to customer requests, and comply with applicable privacy, consumer protection, healthcare, financial, legal, SMS, email, and industry-specific laws.
6. Sensitive Information
BookingIQ is not intended to collect highly sensitive information such as social security numbers, credit card numbers, passwords, bank account numbers, full insurance identifiers, or unnecessary protected health information. Do not enter this information into BookingIQ.
7. Communications
If you provide an email address or phone number, BookingIQ may use it to send account, security, transactional, appointment request, lead notification, and support messages. SMS delivery may depend on carrier approval, toll-free verification, A2P registration, and third-party provider rules. Recipients may opt out where applicable.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, session management, security, preferences, analytics, and service performance.
9. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain business records. Retention periods may vary by data type and account status.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will be free from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or interruption.
11. Your Choices
You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy assistance. Some requests may need to be handled by the business that collected your information through its BookingIQ page or widget.
12. Children's Privacy
BookingIQ is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of BookingIQ after an update means the revised policy applies.
